Choose the type of Fiji holiday first
A Fiji trip can mean a mainland resort, an island stay, a family holiday, a couples retreat, a diving trip or a short stopover. The location you choose affects transfer time, transfer cost, meal options and how easily you can change plans once you arrive.
Do not compare accommodation without comparing transfers
A room price can look attractive until you add the cost and timing of getting there. If your accommodation requires a boat, private transfer or longer road journey, include that in the total trip cost before booking.
Also check whether your arrival time works with the transfer schedule. A flight and resort can each look fine separately but fit poorly together.
Check what the room rate actually includes
For resort stays, compare more than the nightly rate. Check whether breakfast, meals, activities, airport or marina transfers, children's programs, Wi-Fi, taxes or resort fees are included or charged separately.

Family planning
If travelling with children, check the provider's exact child and infant age rules. Travel Legwork may use 0–17 as a broad planning range, but airlines, accommodation providers and insurers can apply different age bands and pricing rules.
Weather and flexibility
Tropical weather can affect outdoor activities and transport. Avoid building a schedule where every important activity depends on one exact day. A flexible itinerary gives you room to move activities if conditions change.
Before departure
Confirm your transfer instructions, accommodation address, arrival process, booking conditions and current entry requirements. Keep key confirmations available offline as well as in email.
